Position Summary
The Office Manager oversees all of the staff in the Outdoor Program, coordinates daily and long-term projects, works closely with program directors, and makes sure there is follow-through on all projects and tasks. They are responsible for assigning and updating tasks for the program weekly and checking in with each staff member during their shifts. The Staff Manager needs to have a deep working knowledge of the systems and processes of the Outdoor Program and be able to perform all the duties of the staff at any time. The Staff Manager needs to consider the operations of the entire semester, work backwards to break down tasks and timelines into achievable parts, and delegate those to program staff. They are supported by directors to find success in their position and this position presents tremendous learning and leadership opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 semester working as Outdoor Program Staff
- Excitement and interest in the Outdoor Program
- Attention to detail
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Vision to see what needs to be done
- Ability to ask questions for understanding and clarification
Any Required Course Work or Certification Needed for Position:
- CPR & FIrst Aid (can be acquired at no cost after hiring)
