Job Title: Housekeeper
Division: Housekeeping
Reports To: Housekeeping Manager
Job Type: Non-exempt, Part-time (24 hours/week), Monday-Wednesday 7a-3p
Pay Rate: $15.00/hour
Summary: Assist Housekeeping Manager in maintaining all private and public rooms in a safe, clean, attractive condition.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Clean resident rooms, common areas of Westminster Manor and other areas as assigned.
Wash all linens, sheets and towels once per week or as needed.
Wash all blankets, comforters, and mattress pads twice per year or as needed.
Be an empathetic and efficient contact person to all residents and employees.
Respond to emergencies in an appropriate way according to Westminster Manor guidelines.
Receive requests and channel to appropriate staff member.
Assist with resident activities when necessary.
Maintain strict confidentiality.
Assist with new resident orientation process.
Receive all visitors in a helpful and pleasant manner according to Westminster Manor procedures.
Careful observance and compliance of policies, procedures, and employment standards.
Attend all necessary staff meetings.
Comply with all Westminster Manor, state, federal and other agency guidelines, and procedures.
Comply with all Department of Health guidelines and regulations.
Attend in-service workshops and training sessions.
Participate in fire drills and evacuations.
Sew and iron as needed.
Assist residents as needed.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
· Internet
Education/Experience:
· High School Diploma/GED
· Less than 1 year experience
Specialized Training:
· Comfort level working with senior population
· Experience in housekeeping preferred
· Facility training programs
