Job Overview
The Director of Communications (DOC) designs and develops compelling communication in support of the objectives of The Westmoor Club. The DOC implements the Club’s branding by creating, managing, and distributing communication materials that ensure continuity of style and visual identity to TWC prospective members, members, and staff. The DOC keeps members and staff informed, engaged, and connected through creative and compelling processes, methods, and platforms.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintains, implements, and improves TWC’s brand materials.
- Develops a comprehensive calendar of Club communications that outlines timing, frequency, messaging, and calls to action.
- Develops measurements and metrics (i.e. open rate, page visits, logins, etc.) to determine the effectiveness of Club communications.
- Creates weekly email blast to members and staff in-season.
- Creates spring and fall newsletters, the yearly event calendar “Summer Happenings”, and the Belle calendar.
- Produces and deploys on-brand Club communication and content across print, digital, and all social media platforms that are personalized/customized, timely, and effective and which drive engagement and Club usage.
- Serves as the main resource for photography and video content to capture “membership moments” and daily activities at the Club.
- Works cross-functionally across the Club with other Leaders to assist in ensuring excellent communication from each of these areas.
- Creates calendar and reservation system set up in the preseason.
- Updates website and social media platforms weekly and daily in-season.
- Designs posters and other printed materials for department heads, as requested.
- Assists Membership Director at special events and update Membership Directory.
- Creates archives binder with copies of all print material.
- Completes special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree and meaningful experience in marketing or communications.
- 2-4 years of experience in marketing, communications, and graphic design.
- Experienced with Social Media Platforms and Google Analytics
- Proficiency in business software applications including but not limited to Microsoft Office and club-related software programs.
- Understanding and experienced using graphic design tools and programs.
- Able to develop creative and effective communications campaigns that will engage members.
- Ability to balance priorities and multiple projects and thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong work ethic and integrity.
- Demonstrated skills in customer service, presentations, writing, problem-solving, analytical judgment, and time management.
- Warm, empathetic demeanor with a collaborative and flexible nature.
Salary : $59,900 - $75,800
