Elementary Supervisor of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment (2024-25 SY)

The Weston Public Schools is seeking to hire an Elementary Supervisor of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment to oversee and promote instructional practices and professional learning experiences that will contribute to continued student growth in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. This is a full-time role, 12-month role, reporting to the Assistant Superintendent for Teaching & Learning. The Weston Public Schools enrolls approximately 2,000 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. The school district includes a high school for grades 9-12, a middle school for grades 6-8, an upper elementary school for grades 4-5, and two lower elementary schools for pre-kindergarten through grade 3. Since 1967, Weston has participated in METCO (Metropolitan Council for Educational Opportunity) - a voluntary school integration program that places Boston residents in suburban schools. The Weston METCO program enrolls approximately 160 students (K-12).

• Oversees all aspects of the PreK-5 Curriculum and Instruction and Assessment and programs
• Supervises, and evaluates staff in assigned curricular areas, including Elementary Curriculum Specialists
• Leads the development and implementation of all elementary curriculum initiatives, ensuring curricular fidelity, and reviewing and evaluating programmatic needs
• Serves as a member of the Superintendent’s Cabinet and Administrative Council and assists with district strategic planning and decision-making
• Supervises and evaluates the implementation of elementary curricula, analysis of data and assessments to assist with educator adjustments to practice and improvement of student progress
• Contributes to the development and use of differentiated student learning experiences by educators
• Works cooperatively with district and building-based leaders and administrators
• Works with the Assistant Superintendent to lead and supervise professional development and write and coordinate state, federal, and private grants to promote teaching and learning
• Partners with the Office of Student Services and the Coordinator of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to train staff and aid in closing opportunity gaps
• Other duties as assigned

• Licensed as either a Supervisor/Director or a Principal/Assistant Principal (PreK-8) by time of hire
• Minimum of five years of teaching experience
• Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Education or a related field
• Experience in supervision, evaluation, and curriculum development
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and in conformity with state licensure requirements

This is a 12-month role starting on July 1, 2024, with an annual salary range of $110,000 - $130,000.
