We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our ever-growing organization! You will be responsible for overseeing and managing various accounting functions, including financial reporting, reconciliation, and compliance. The Senior Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to the development of financial strategies, and provide leadership in maintaining accurate and timely financial records.
Responsibilities
Prepares and records Insurance, 401k, Bad Debt Allowance, Continuing Education, Shared Based Compensation, Real and Personal Property Tax, Memberships, Licenses, Laundry, and Leases (ASC 842) monthly entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
Maintains the accounts above by reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
Prepares and records month-end accruals for a number of expense accounts.
Ad-hoc projects working closely with the tax department related to personal property tax and real property tax.
Ad-hoc projects related to lease accounting (ASC 842).
Analyze financial information and summarize financial status each month.
Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
Participate in budget forecasts at year end.
Assist with audits (internal and external).
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, regulations and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
CPA or pursing CPA
