The Utility Maintenance Technician - Boiler will be involved in work of a varied nature with minimal supervision, to assist the Director of Maintenance with continuous improvement activity within the facilities. As the subject matter expert on various equipment, this position will assist the Director of Maintenance in coaching all levels of the team including operator and technician on equipment PM based standard work, lessons learned from failures, trained trainer activities, execution of Preventative, Predictive, Precision, and Corrective Maintenance work on the area of expertise as needed to drive continuous OEE improvement action execution.
Principal Job Duties:
· Performs routine maintenance of boiler room and incinerator equipment on a scheduled basis
· Understands functions and knows how to use all controls and safety devices in the operation of the energy center equipment
· Assists evening and shift personnel as required to maintain operations
· May be required to serve as backup for shift calls on floors, including tube system
· Is available on sight during shift duty for emergency response
· Tests water samples from boiler, chillers, closed loop systems, water softeners, condensate and cooling towers
· Checks fuel oil tank levels and fires boilers on fuel oil
· Uses energy management computer system to control and to monitor operation of equipment
· Inspects the equipment and the operation of the boiler room hourly and other mechanical rooms daily to verify that safety regulations and efficient operations are maintained and record all pertinent data in their respective logbooks
· Maintains water levels in boilers domestic hot and cold water tanks

Minimum Required Qualifications: Will not hire someone unless they have this skillset
· Require minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Industrial Maintenance field
· Require validation from management on “subject matter expert” on in house equipment
· Must be able to read and understand complex instructions, prints, flowcharts, timing diagrams, and schematics
· Must be able to clearly articulate and relay instructions to a variety of personnel ranging from upper management to other hourly associates
· Must have ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
· Must have ability to speak effectively before groups, customers/vendors, or employees of the organization
· Arkansas state Boiler Operator’s License
