Sr. Strategic Analyst
Sr. Strategic Analyst – Atlanta, GA The opportunity: The Sr. Strategic Analyst is responsible for driving the delivery of critical and high impact business initiatives, managing all aspects of the project such as project planning, requirements definition, risk management, communication, and implementation planning. The individual will partner with key business stakeholders to achieve WestRock’s strategic vision, driving transformational thinking and robust program management. The individual should be experienced in using data to influence and motivate others. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, holistic thinker who can look enterprise-wide to integrate and streamline systems/processes for optimal benefit. This is a leadership role that has direct input to the team’s strategic objectives along with providing guidance and mentoring to team members. How you will impact WestRock: · Effectively scope and define projects including the development of the project business case and- justification, charter, resource requirements, tracking and reporting · Drive implementation planning and program/project execution to deliver according to plan timelines/goals while effectively managing changes in scope and deliverables, schedule, and resource needs · Develop and deploy tools/templates to enable project success · Lead change management strategic development to ensure effective processes are in place resulting in successful project implementation and adoption · Collaborates with Performance Excellence team to support company strategy, leveraging/sharing best practices, and developing best in class tools, technology/training · Build and foster constructive partnerships with key stakeholders, cross functional teams to ensure project success · Ensure effective, accurate and timely communication of projects by preparing and delivering regular updates to executive leadership, sponsors, and other key stakeholders What you need to succeed: · 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Operations Management MBA Preferred · Demonstrates a high level of proficiency in using project coordination and project management tools to support project work – e.g., Microsoft Project, Mural, MS Excel, Power Point, etc. · Proficiency in Qlik or similar data visualization software such as Tableau, PowerBI · Demonstrates understanding of database structures (Access, SQL), experience in Python, Alteryx, VBA, R a plus · Lean six sigma Green Belt / Black Belt a plus · Proven ability to think strategically about initiative objectives and map the strategy into a detailed project plan · Able to manage all logistics and scheduling related to the initiation/kick-off through implementation of assigned projects · Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in complex and at-times ambiguous work environments · High professional maturity, diplomatic style · Experience in operational excellence and process improvement methodologies like Six Sigma or Lean a plus · A desire to roll-up your sleeves to drive large projects to successful completion What we offer: • Corporate culture based on integrity, respect, accountability, and excellence. • Comprehensive training with numerous learning and development opportunities. • An attractive salary reflecting skills, competencies, and potential. • A career with a global packaging company where Sustainability, Safety and Inclusion are business drivers and foundational elements of the daily work.
