We are looking for a dynamic Dietary Aide/Cook to join our Skilled Nursing Facility or Subacute Care!

- Position Type: Full-Time with Weekend
- Shift Structure: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
- Shift Schedule: Flexibility for AM and PM Shift - 5 AM to 9 PM
- Pay Range: $19 to $21 per hour

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and portion sizes
- Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Collaborate with dietary aides and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
- Assist with meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces
- Handle food properly to prevent cross-contamination and maintain food quality
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and notify supervisor when supplies are running low
QUALIFICATION:
- Proven experience as a cook in the food industry
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- Interest in working with the geriatric population
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate portioning and cooking times
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
EXPERIENCE:
- With food industry experience as cook are welcome
- With no more than 2 jobs in a year or 12 months is a plus
- Previous experience working in a healthcare or hospitality setting as a cook
- Experienced Dietary Cook
