Description
Weyerhaeuser Lumber mill in Raymond, WA is hiring for entry-level mill Laborer / Production Associates. We offer a competitive pay and benefit package, including comprehensive health & welfare (medical, dental, vision), 401(k), paid vacation and holidays.
This is a bargaining unit position in the IAM AW Union. Starting wage : $ per hour.
Key Functions :
- Maintain a safe work environment and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in the team-based work environment with a positive attitude, good communication skills, and respectable work ethic.
- Successful applicants will train for a variety of positions, including cleanup and equipment operation.
- Ability to interpret work instructions and complete tasks as delegated.
- Apply good housekeeping standards to your work area or any area you observe.
- Cross-train in production roles and be able to fill in when short-handed.
- Activities involving safety, quality, and process reliability improvements.
- Demonstrate a desire to achieve and take pride in your work.
- Able and willing to work in varying seasonal climate conditions.
- Operate and monitor various machine center.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Willingness and ability to work all shifts and wear all required personal protective equipment.
- Stable, documented work history.
- Willingness and ability to learn new jobs and skills.
- Demonstrated dedication to safety.
- Positive attitude and good work ethic.
- Ability to do demanding work (lift up to 50 pounds).
- Resume detailing education and work history is required for consideration.
Preferred :
Prior manufacturing experience
Compensation : Your wages and benefits are set by the labor agreement between Weyerhaeuser and the union representing employees at this work site. Entry level labor
