As the Client Accountant for World Kinect Energy, you will be primarily responsible for our client’s outsourced accounting department for all energy related transactions. You will prepare estimates, projections, accruals, and consolidated invoicing for assigned clients. Supplier, pipeline, gas, and electric utility vendor invoice bill verifications are performed monthly as well as a material balance. As the advocate for the client, this position coordinates the resolution of all invoice discrepancies. These activities include daily interactions with clients, suppliers, utility, and pipeline personnel, as well as Kinect and WFS collaborators. You will have ownership of various assigned supplemental activities that the controls and processes needed for successful fulfillment of client requirements. Key Responsibilities Analyze incomplete data from multiple data bases for congruent effectiveness. Coordinate with WFS personnel, suppliers, pipeline, and utilities to remedy errors discovered in a professional and timely manner, maintaining tenacity until resolved. Quantify and report value to the Client Scorecard as incidents are remedied. Understanding of the energy contracts and complex energy invoices must be understood and analyzed, especially regarding seasonal differences and penalty structures. Extensive knowledge of the commodity delivery infrastructure. Perform WFS Invoicing for physical natural gas and electric transactions as needed. Knowledge and ability to work within the BEN system to produce client accrual/invoice reports as well as needed back-up support. Verify bills and when needed resolution for all supply, pipeline, and utility vender invoices with assigned clients. Launch financial AR/AP to the Oracle staging area in a timely manner with proper GL coding attached. Additional tasks that support the internal and external efficiencies of the Client Accounting department, such as Funds @ Risk, Cost & Usage, Collections, Financial Prepayment Invoicing and Monitoring. Requirements, Competencies and Certifications Strong problem-solving skills, mathematical and organizational skills. Motivated and able to work with limited supervision. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a commitment to delivering superior customer service. Attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines. Exceptional organizational skills with ability to multitask. Team player who excels at performing in a collaborative environment, upbeat and positive.
