In this position you will be responsible for managing and supporting the financial accounting for the company and will also be responsible for project work.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the financial transaction processing, recording, and reporting process;
- Directs and coordinates financial budget processes;
- Coordinate and guide financial statement and overhead audit process
- Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance;
- Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget and other appropriate benchmarks and key performance indicators;
- Coordinate debt service and lease payments with third-parties;
- Oversee daily operations of the financial accounting team;
- Assists in establishing financial accounting policies, and operating procedures
- Coordinates with Human Resources on the processing of time sheets, expense reports and payroll activities.
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA certification preferred;
- 5 years of experience in financial management of a professional services firm;
- Current working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS);
- Critical thinking, ability to identify and propose solutions to day-to-day phenomena as they occur
- Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems and controls;
- Experience with BST preferred;
- Experience creating, coordinating and achieving goals through a team of professionals;
- Excellent computer and communication skills, both verbal and written.
