We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to play a pivotal role testing mission-critical solutions. The candidate will ensure that the applications are built and functioning as per requirements, following an agile methodology. The responsibilities also include clarifying requirements, executing cross lane end-2-end tests, troubleshooting and bringing tasks to closure.
Candidates must have the following Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Strong technical competency and experience with web applications or web services
- Experience writing and executing test cases, test plans and test design documents
- Experience using data driven tests to validate API calls
- Experience using test automation tools and multi-browser testing preferred
- Helpful to have some experience testing in an AGILE or SCRUM type environment
- Project experience with DB, infrastructure/system upgrades or environment migrations highly desirable
- Must have proactive and strong communication skills to work well across teams
Major Responsibilities:
- Create and review test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures
- Create and review testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability
- Review documentation of software defects and assign software developers to investigate and resolve the issues
- Review and approve test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
- Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance or completeness or to mitigate risks
- Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems
