Job Summary:
The Material Handler is responsible for moving product throughout the facility.
Job Duties:
- Move material to various areas in the facility depending on departmental needs
- Unload materials from trucks and stacking them in assigned areas
- Locate and move products to pallets for storage or shipment
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintain and support WP’s environmental, health and safety programs. Be aware of the occupational health and safety risks of their job and how their job affects the environment.
Requirements:
- Forklift experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Safety training certifications
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Ability to lift and/or move objects up to and including 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand or walk continuously for up to 10 hours per day.
- Willing and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, reach and climb and descend stairs safely.
