POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of H&W School-based clinics provides clinical and administrative oversight of the program, in collaboration with the VP of Behavioral Health Services. The Director ensures the delivery of high quality behavioral health services to students in the school district(s). The Director works collaboratively with the VP of Behavioral Health Services on program development and implementation of new models of treatment. The Director establishes and maintains positive relationships with internal and external key stakeholders. The Director supports positive staff development and adherence to agency and other regulatory policies and protocols.
SALARY
$95,000
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Counseling plus at least 4 years experience with behavioral health service delivery to children, adolescents, and families. Must have 1 year of clinical supervisory experience.
Licensure Requirements for Clinical Positions
Credential(s) Required: Connecticut LCSW, LPC, LMFT or Psychologist license required.
LOCATION
This position will oversee school based clinical services located in Bristol and New Britain, CT.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides clinical oversight and leadership to school-based services programs serving children and adolescents by implementing, promoting, and sustaining evidenced based and best practice models of prevention, intervention, and treatment, in addition to whole-person, integrated primary and behavioral health approaches.
Provides consistent supervision and support to Supervisors and staff.
Works with the VP of Behavioral Health Services, Supervisors, and staff to ensure active strategizing to meet contractual requirements regarding access to care, utilization, and positive outcomes.
Assists with budget development and manages program expenses to budget.
Recruits program staff, and addresses retention and disciplinary issues as needed.
Ensures program compliance with accurate and timely weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly data collection and submission requirements.
Submits all required documentation and reports in a timely manner, and participates in and promotes quality improvement and outcome measurement activities.
Serves as role model for staff to promote strong work ethic and adherence to model specific approaches.
Provides coverage for supervisor responsibilities and program on-call coverage in accordance with departmental program practices
Assists in the development and implementation of new programs/services to enhance the continuum of care for at risk children and adolescents.
Interfaces and collaborates with funders, and other community stakeholders to support positive system development and to promote Wheeler’s reputation as an innovative, quality service provider.
Maintains required licenses, certifications, attends required training seminars, and assists with arranging and monitoring the staff training schedule to ensure that training needs are being met.
Effectively implements and ensures staff and program adherence to organizational policy and procedure, regulatory, accreditation, contractual, and licensing requirements.
Continues to develop knowledge and understanding about the history, traditions, values, family systems, and artistic expression of groups served as well as uses appropriate methodological approaches, skills, and techniques that reflect an understanding of culture.
