Wheels Up is looking for a world-class Return to Service Inspector to join our team of dedicated and passionate professionals, fueled by the most powerful brand in private aviation, as we continue our mission of democratizing the private aviation space through cutting-edge technology and innovative product and service offerings.
Responsibilities:
The RTS Inspector assists the company’s inspection and quality assurance maintenance personnel and operations. This position contributes to safety, reliability, and economy by performing daily return to service activities, record reviews, internal audits and record-keeping requirements by effectively utilizing processes, procedures, data bases and electronic equipment.
Compensation: $72,000.00 - $75,000.00/year, depending on relevant industry experience.
Essential Functions:
- Approve aircraft for return to service.
- Update aircraft maintenance tracking databases
- Assist the Quality Control Manager (QCM) with reviews and audits.
Additional Duties:
- Assist QCM in ascertaining that maintenance records are properly maintained and retrievable
- Assist QCM in providing current and adequate inspection forms and ensures proper completion.
- Maintain permanent records of work accomplished.
- Maintain up-to-date training records on all maintenance and contract maintenance personnel
- Other duties as assigned by the QCM.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledgeable in FAR Part 135 and Part 145 aviation maintenance operations.
- Familiarity in aviation maintenance tracking programs (Ex.: CAMP, Avtrak, Ebis, Corridor).
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and prioritize duties based on immediate need
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current FAA Airframe and Power Plant Certificate
- 2 years experience working with one, or some of the following aircraft: Cessna Citation, Gulfstream G4, Beechcraft King Air, Dassault Falcon, in a Part 135 or Part 145 environment
- Be able to read, write and understand the English language
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with the factory inspection programs associated to above listed aircraft
- Associates degree in an aviation maintenance-related concentration
- Experience with maintenance tracking database software applications (Ex.: CAMP, Avtrak, Ebis, Corridor)
Work Conditions:
- Long periods of sedentary activity working at a desk and utilizing a computer
- Daily movement between facility buildings across the airport
- Ability to travel and attend aircraft, engine, and equipment training
- Ability to flex schedule and work weekends
Physical Requirements:
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds
- Good vision and depth perception
- Ability to work in an office environment 40 hours per week
