This role in summary
In this position, the Engineer will play a key role in providing support to the BIR Architecture team to deliver both New Product Introduction (NPI), acting as experienced Build Planner, and Junior System Integrator coordinating Drop In new projects.
The position will belong to the Built In Refrigeration architecture with the objective to deliver product leadership through balanced product solutions that create consumer value and satisfy the needs of the business and stakeholders.
What a typical day or week looks like in this role
- You will work with Global cross functional stakeholders such as Planning, Engineering, Quality, Marketing, Manufacturing, Consumer Design.
- You will interact with the System Integrator and the Project Team in order to define plans/priorities, track progress to deliver connected tasks.
- You will have a wide variety of day to day activities involving regular project meetings, design review, project builds, product approval requests and expenses tracking.

You will have the opportunity to practice basic project management activities linked to drop in project execution.
Your responsibilities will include
- Plan and manage all activities related to pre-production project builds (POs, EBOMs)
- Partner with the System Integrator and Master Assembler to ensure configurable bills of material (CBOMs)
- Partner with manufacturing to ensure manufacturing bills of material (MBOMs) are consistent with engineering bills of material (EBOMs)
- Track all specification releases, i.e. CNs, and partner with subsystem engineers to ensure all parts and drawing numbers are updated.
- Responsible for maintaining and reporting KPIs including project build budget and project build activities, actual vs plan.
- Manage engineering team activities on assigned Drop In Projects
- Support System Integration Leads in platform related topics operations.
- Ensure drop in product development activities are completed on time, meeting all requirements, including cost, quality & performance targets.
- Drive full system validation through use of predictive validation methodologies.
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2 years of experience working with enterprise software
- 6 months of experience working on project implementation with project development dynamics.
Preferred skills and experiences
- Previous experience in engineering build planning
- Windchill or Planisware experience.
- Experience working in SAP or similar system.
- Advanced Excel skills are a plus.
- Previous experience leading small projects
