What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Bartender position at Whiskey River Bar and grill?
Our busy family restaurant is looking for a bartender with a positive attitude who can provide excellent customer service. You will be in charge of taking customer orders, mixing a variety of cocktails, making beer and wine recommendations, and keeping the bar area clean and sanitary at all times. This position requires an energetic person with excellent organizational skills and a customer-first attitude. We have 25 rotating craft beers, a wide food selection, and varying daily specials. Compensation:$5 - $8 an hour plus tips
Responsibilities:- Perform all restocking and cleaning activities as directed, including opening and closing duties
- Order necessary bar supplies, stock and keep track of all wine, liquor, and beer inventories as well as maintain a full supply of glassware and notify management of any shortages
- Receive payments and settle patron checks and tabs, as well as correctly record daily sales totals in point of sale system
- Mix and deliver drinks to customers including alcoholic and non-alcoholic varieties of wine, beer, liquor, and mixed drinks
- Check customers age by verifying identification cards and serve alcoholic beverages to patrons per federal, state, local, and company laws and regulations
- Handle all carry-out orders
- Service all Michigan Lottery tickets, including but not limited to; Club Keno, Cash Pop, Pull Tabs, Mega Millions, Powerball
- Outstanding time management and organizational skills
- Previous experience working in food service is preferred
- This role requires a strong emphasis on putting the patron first and providing exceptional customer service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and other team members
