Job Summary:
The Scale House Administrator is responsible for managing the scale house operations, ensuring accurate and efficient weighing of trucks entering and exiting the facility. This role involves maintaining accurate records, providing excellent customer service, and supporting the overall operations of the facility.
Location: Plymouth, UT
Core Responsibilities:
- Operate the scale house, including weighing inbound and outbound trucks.
- Accurately record weight data and other relevant information in the system.
- Issue weight tickets and other required documentation to drivers.
- Maintain a clean and organized scale house environment.
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and other staff to coordinate loading and unloading activities.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Monitor and report any discrepancies or issues with scale operations.
- Assist in maintaining inventory records and coordinating with the logistics team.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required.
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and answering phones.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics, operations, or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a similar role or in a logistics/operations environment preferred.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software, including MS Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in an industrial setting.
