POSITION DESCRIPTION: Laser Operator
Purpose/ Summary
To perform all aspects necessary for the laser processes used in the manufacturing of Turbine Engine components.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
The job has no supervisory responsibilities; However, the employee under the supervision of the Quality Systems Manager will assist with the training of other employees.
Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent and/or a minimum of one (1) year of related experience. Knowledge of the laser head, power supply, pulse forming network, optical system and the movement system of the laser.

- Cut and drill holes per process back-up sheet
- Perform set-ups per back-up sheets.
- Inspect work per back-up sheets, using micrometers, height gages and calipers.
- Assist in equipment maintenance.
- Call up programs per back-up sheets.
- Demonstrate a good mechanical aptitude.
- Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
