Job Description:

Responsible for planning and controlling every stage (from pre-construction, through to completion) of roofing installations or repairs to commercial properties for multiple concurrent construction projects. Complete projects on time and within budget, while ensuring that roofing teams work in safe conditions. Are required to be highly organized and communicate effectively to be successful.

  • Report to Vice President of Commercial Projects and follow the directives of said manager

Job Requirements:

  • Ensure all projects completed at or under budget, completed on time, and with superior workmanship.
  • Maintain an up to date schedule through proactive communication with General Contractors and Owners.
  • Effectively communicate with the onsite installation team and installation managers to ensure everyone is on the same page.
  • Perform detailed analysis of assigned projects including (not limited to) reviewing all Sales Team documents and project budgets, coordinating hand-off meetings with Sales Team, adjusting assemblies to required manufacturer standards as needed, & discovery of possible value engineered options.
  • Review architect's roofing design to plan the sequence of work. Identify any practical problems in achieving the planned result & discuss any necessary changes with the architect and client.
  • Complete submittals, shop drawings, warranty information, & other pre-construction documents.
  • Ensure digital job files are kept up to date and organized.
  • Estimate the time to complete each roofing project and coordinate with teams from varying trades, as appropriate.
  • Maintain an up to date project schedule through effective communication with Owner or General Contractor including estimated start date and time remaining to complete on-going projects - coordinate with Logistic Manager in order to create overarching Department
  • Determine materials and equipment required for each project and devise delivery schedules to ensure all materials and equipment are available when needed.
  • Create detailed work orders to effectively communicate all job requirements including (not limited to) crew work orders, detailed roof assembly information, shop drawings of details, material purchase orders, equipment list, & roof loading diagram.
  • Setup hand-off meeting with the project Superintendent to ensure the project requirement and plan of action is properly communicated to the on-site team for performance.
  • Attend pre-construction and required progress meetings with the General Contractor or Owner.
  • Prepare and deliver reports detailing the progress of the project. Completion reports to be completed daily.
  • Make weekly site visits to on-going projects to review progress, quality of work, & to provide oversight.
  • Review job costs in relation to project budgets.
  • Responsible for creating project change orders when additional work is required.
  • Work with the Billing Department to ensure projects are properly billed.
  • Complete required post-construction documentation including warranty information and submit to the General Contractor or Owner.

Job Qualifications:

  • 1 years experience in similar field
  • Valid driver’s license & clean driving record (required)
  • Bilingual (preferred)
  • Excellent decision making, strategic thinking, coachable, detail oriented, motivated & driven.
  • Management skills and experience in supervision of a crew (preferred)

Education:

  • Degree in Construction Management (preferred)
  • Previous experience in Construction Management

Hours/Days: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (typical) with occasional evenings & weekends
