Course Layout
The classes will be conducted as follows:
First 2 weeks (9am-5pm) via Zoom.
3 days 9:30am-4:30pm require in person @Newark office for skills participation
To become a New Jersey Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) , you must meet the following requirements:
- Successfully complete a homemaker-home health aide training course approved by the NJ Board of Nursing
- Pass a competency evaluation administered by an NJ-licensed home healthcare agency
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be eligible to pass a background screening
- Work under the supervision of a professional registered nurse
- Note: Once certified, you will be listed in the online directory of Certified Homemaker-Home Health Aides.
Course Cost:
$500 fee which is reimbursed in increments as you work.
$60 licensure fee at the end of program to be paid to the NJ Board of Nursing to obtain CHHA License.
