The primary purpose of the IT Analyst is to support the WHV team members and residents in their use of technology; work with team members to develop solutions that will make their contributions to WHV more effective and efficient; implement new technology, as needed and support existing technology, as needed.
Duties
- The IT Analyst supports application users during and after technology implementation
- The IT Analyst learns existing processes, applications & technologies
- The IT Analyst gathers input from stakeholders on processes and applications through interviews, observation & brain storming
- The IT Analyst documents processes and input on applications
- The IT Analyst researches and proposes solutions for issues with processes and applications
- The IT Analyst becomes the resident expert in one or a few of the technologies that we use at WHV (Audio Visual systems in particular)
- The IT Analyst keeps current with new technology in the Senior Living industry
- The IT Analyst develops SQL queries, reports, dashboards using various analytic tools
- The IT Analyst analyzes, maintains, provides user training and support for clinical software applications.
- The IT Analyst stays current with technology through seminars, educational opportunities, trade magazines, etc.
- The IT Analyst analyzes problems, determines cause and initiates corrective action.
- The IT Analyst performs all other duties as assigned by the Director of IT, V.P. of Health Care Center, and /or the V.P. of Finance.
- The IT Analyst backs up to System Administrator and other IT Analysts, as needed.
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Up to 1 year of technical work experience
- Desire to learn
- A basic understanding of systems
- A basic understanding of data constructs
- Experience with SQL, report writing
- The ability to take ownership of an issue and work toward a solution
- Ability to listen, ask questions, understand issues and communicate your perspective on an issue
- Ability to facilitate meetings and gather information from stakeholders
- Ability to document processes and stakeholder input
- Ability to manage relationships with vendors
- Ability to organize many pieces of information and form a logical course of action to resolve an issue
