Located in San Francisco's popular Marina district, White Rabbit features an approachable offering of beer, wine, spirits, table service and premium champagnes, along with small plates and snacks. Live musicians and DJs are also featured on a rotating schedule.
We are currently looking for a Lead Bartender to assist in expanding our program while keeping it fresh and exciting. The ideal candidate is a very experienced bartender that has some management experience but doesn’t want to jump in feet first just yet.
Candidates need to demonstrate good communication skills, sound judgment, strong problem-solving abilities, impeccable cash handling, and clerical accuracy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES::- Responsible for the state of the bar - cleanliness, stocking, arrangement, equipment, and overall preparedness.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES::
- Independently take on opening and/or closing duties.
- Help create protocols, train and maintain staff standards and ensure consistent execution.
- Work with management on ordering inventory and equipment needs.
- Help evolve and execute the bar and food program through the seasons.
- Responsible for the monthly inventory process.
- To assist with the management of cost control & profitability.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS::
- Previous bartending experience required.
- Must know the fundamentals of beverage mixing, inventory and pars, glass type and uses, and drink recipe knowledge.
- Minimum of 1 year of management or supervisorial experience preferred.
- Must be familiar with CA liquor laws.
- Working knowledge of Aloha POS skills a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES::
- Ability to work productively and independently with little supervision.
- Ability to coordinate a variety of activities simultaneously and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have good judgment, versatility, flexibility.
- Motivated and good team player who takes initiative.
- Must have a courteous, friendly and professional manner.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: :
- Standing/walking approximately 90% of shift.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, lift and grasp to perform routine tasks for up to 6 hours at a time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.
REQUIRED HOURS::
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
