What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reading Specialist (Interventionist) position at White River Valley Supervisory Union?
First Branch Unified District within the White River Supervisory Union is accepting applications for a Reading Specialist for grades K-4th and some support for learners in grades 5th-8th grade for the 2022-2023 school year with push in and pull out reading support services.. The ideal candidate will have multi-sensory reading certification, experience working directly with students, and a genuine love for reading! The candidate should be ready to work in collaboration with general education teachers, parents, related service providers, and paraeducators. The position would be primarily at the Tunbridge campus with some work at the Chelsea campus.
The White River Valley Supervisory Union is located in the beautiful and picturesque White River Valley of Vermont. The White River Valley is approximately 25 minutes from Killington/Pico Ski Resort and 12 miles from Suicide Six ski mountain. The White River flows through our districts making canoeing and kayaking very convenient after work or on the weekends. Hiking trails are plentiful.
