What are the responsibilities and job description for the Body Shop Manager position at White's International Trucks?
Essential Job Duties:
- Supervise Body Shop technicians to perform crash type and refinishing type repairs to medium and heavy-duty trucks, & IC Buses.
- Oversee and direct Body Shop activities to obtain projected volumes, profits, and goals.
- Inspect damage, and writes effective, accurate customer and insurance estimates.
- Maintain customer relations.
- Works with General manager to determine and maintain departments staff levels to insure customer service and acceptable expense levels.
- Evaluate performance of body shop employees, based on job descriptions and departmental objectives.
- Actively seek new opportunities for repairs.
Prior experience in leading a team with knowledge in all phases of truck repair preferred. Must have prior operational experience with an understanding of budgeting, staffing, and personnel procedures. Applicant must be self-motivated, possess leadership skills and have the ability to maintain good customer and employee relations.
