RACQUETS MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT
Exclusive, family-oriented and unique… Whitford Country Club in beautiful Chester County is looking for a Racquets Maintenance Assistant who is enthusiastic about tennis and dedicated to contributing to an exceptional player experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversees and performs on-going golf course maintenance activities.
- Assist in routine maintenance tasks to ensure the tennis courts are well-kept, safe, and conducive to quality gameplay.
- Work alongside experienced team members to clean and maintain court surfaces using basic tools such as lutes, brooms, and water.
- Learn and assist in applying and maintaining accurate court lines, contributing to a professional playing area.
- Help identify and address any potential safety hazards on the court surfaces to ensure the well-being of players.
- Fill water coolers strategically placed around the courts, ensuring players have access to hydration during matches.
- Perform light landscaping around the tennis courts and tennis areas.
- Undertake additional maintenance tasks as directed by director of racquets, facilitating a seamless maintenance process.
- Work closely with fellow team members to coordinate maintenance schedules and deliver exceptional service.
- Interact with club members professionally, addressing their inquiries and providing information about court conditions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Passion for tennis and a desire to contribute to a top-notch player experience.
- No prior experience required; training will be provided.
- Basic understanding of maintenance concepts and a willingness to learn new skills.
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks outdoors in varying weather conditions. This position requires standing for long periods of time, walking, reaching, stooping, and kneeling. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Effective communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
- Customer-friendly approach, demonstrating professionalism when interacting with members.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules, including weekends and special events.
