WRA is currently seeking an experienced Roadway Project Engineer in our Mechanicsburg or York, PA Office. The Roadway Project Engineer will be responsible for working with a team of engineers on the planning and design of transportation projects in PA, DE and MD primarily. Anticipated types of projects include intersection and interchange design, new roadway alignments, roadway widenings, roundabouts, interstates, and pedestrian and bicycle facilities. The Roadway Project Engineer will be responsible for the design of horizontal and vertical alignments, development of roadway plans and profiles, roadside evaluation elements, maintenance of traffic design, preparation of construction plans, specifications, cost estimates and the development of technical reports.
Requirements:
- B.S.C.E (ABET-accredited program)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- 5-10 years of relevant job experience related to roadway engineering (experience with PennDOT and PTC preferred)
- Ability to effectively communicate orally/written at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle multiple assignments
- Experience with design software tools such as MicroStation, OpenRoads and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Positive attitude and willingness to work cooperatively with others
