inspect all products for grade, condition and quality. monitors produce section of warehouse for cleanliness and temperature.responsibilities

inspect both inbound product and slotted items for quality and condition.
walk coolers and use reporting tools to identify aged, code dated and poor quality products in warehouse.
assist in the ripening of bananas in the distribution center.
inspect and grade or appraise agricultural commodities offered for sale to determine value and yield.
verify information such as the manufacturer number, season code, plu/upc number.
attend team and facility meetings.
work with national commodity buyers to resolve problem arrivals including reporting quality issues and monitoring protection, tracking, and reporting losses.
able to read and download temptales for proper reporting to vendors.

knowledge, skills, & abilities

ability to write routine reports and correspondence to all buyers and wfp office
ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
ability to write routine reports and correspondence
basic computer skills, including ms word, ms outlook and ms excel
ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
effective oral and written communication, must read, write and speak english
ability to perform physical requirements of position
ability to work well with others
accurate and self-motivated
able to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the distribution center, including nights, weekends and holidays as required
