Yard Hand

WholeTrees seeks a motivated and creative team member with basic machine operator and some hand tool skills. They will be assisting our Inventory Team in learning our basic building processes and helping wherever is needed in the processing of trees and logs from arrival to our facility.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Some experience in construction with wood. Some experience with basic hand and power tools.
• Some machine operation in a fork lift and telehandler.
• An attitude of learning and being as helpful as possible each day.
• Has a driver license and can independently get to and from work each day. Quick to smile.

Responsibilities for this Position:

• Load and Unload trucks with trees, logs and other building materials. Help track the inventory throughout the project process.
• Help organize the yard as needed Peel and sand logs.
• Maintains tools and equipment to ensure their safe and efficient operation. Perform related duties as assigned.

Compensation:

Full time wage commensurate with experience. $18-$22/hr

WholeTrees would expect 40-50 hours per working week, with required overtime as needed. Health Care Benefits are available.

WholeTrees was founded on its 134-acre forest near La Crosse, WI and is now headquartered in Madison, WI, with a Pacific Northwest sales presence. We have 15 full-time employees nationally, and double that in sub- contractors. The majority of our labor force is dispersed between our Westby, WI production facility and our Madison offices. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
