The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department at Wichita State University invites applications for Assistant Professor (Tenure track). Applicants must be committed to fostering an inclusive environment and promoting the success of underrepresented students. Applicants whose technical interests complement and augment the Department’s existing strengths and are well positioned to develop collaborations as part of multidisciplinary research teams are of particular interest. Our hiring priority is focused on applied research in the following areas: (i) power electronics and drives with focus on eTransportation, storage technologies, and sustainable energy; (ii) Design & hardware implementation of computational intelligence and methodologies, embedded systems, automation, and control systems with the focus on industrial applications, smart and connected communities or internet of things.1. Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.2. Advising undergraduate students, supervising MS and PhD students in their theses and dissertations.3. Obtaining research funding, conducting an active research program, publishing the results of the research.4. Actively participating in professional societies, and service to the department, college, and university.
