The National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) is a fast-growing area within WSU, known globally for our expertise in the most critical areas of aerospace research and development. We are seeking an individual who has basic knowledge of electrical concepts and a desire to apply their knowledge in a hands-on work environment within our full-scale structural test facility in Park City, KS. This position is responsible for receiving and reviewing engineering instructions for the installation of strain gages, thermocouples, displacement transducers, and other test sensors and installing them following lab standard practices and quality processes; assisting in soldering and routing wires and cabling through connectors and large test frames; assisting in wiring these sensors to data cabinets and troubleshooting their installation with other experienced senior staff and load control engineers.
