Wichita Technical Institute, an accredited institution and the leader in technical “hands-on” training, is seeking a highly motivated Electronic Systems Technology Instructor. WTI is committed to serving our students by providing quality education in a variety of specialized careers. We offer a variety of electronics courses within our Electronic Systems Technology program. Current courses include Communication Systems, Telecommunications, Video Surveillance Systems, Industrial Controls, 480v 3-phase Power Distribution, Motors and Motor Controls, PLCs, VFDs, PanelView Systems, and Hydraulic and Pneumatic Control Systems.
Essential Functions for an Electronics Instructor
- Electronic Component Troubleshooting Level Knowledge (Required) preferably in Electronic Automation or Manufacturing Maintenance industries.
- Plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus provided
- Supervise independent or group projects, laboratory work or other training
- Advise students on academic and vocational concerns
- Maintain knowledge of relevant student certification testing to ensure class activities support testing needs in addition to needs in the workplace
- Observe and evaluate student’s work to determine progress, providing feedback, and making suggestions for improvement when necessary
Requirements for an Electronics Instructor
- Possess Excellent interpersonal skills in the areas of collaboration, team participation, creative problem-solving, conflict resolution, group planning, and decision-making
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Must be student focused and work well without close supervision
- Bring a spirit of enthusiasm, energy, and multi-cultural awareness
- Have a moderate level of computer and technology skills
- No previous teaching experience required!
- Certifications are preferred and candidates must have at least 3 years of industry related experience.

Work Schedule:
- Monday -Thursday
- 7:50a to 12:50p and 5:30p to 10:30p
- 10 hour days Split Shift
- No Fridays = 3 Day Weekends!
