Solid Waste Compliance Technician

Duties:

• Performs daily and weekly inspections of leachate control & monitoring system
• Maintains all leachate & methane gas systems;
• Maintains bailers, conveyors ,& equipment on all recycling equipment;
• Assists with all electrical wiring, installation, & repairs;
• Assists with carpentry needs to buildings & transfer stations;
• Operates all assigned solid waste equipment as needed;
• Operates roll-off trucks & tractors as needed;
• Supervises Solid Waste crews as needed;
• Performs weekly inspections;
• Completes work orders, orders parts, & makes repairs.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 to 4 years prior experience in maintenance operations with heavy equipment for construction/landfill operations;
• Possession of a valid CDL Class B commercial driver’s license with bus, hazardous materials, & tanker endorsement;
• Hazardous condition identification training;
• OSHA and MOSHA knowledge;
• Confined Space, CPR, & First Aid training;
• Clean driving record;
• Homeland Security and Fire Extinguisher Certifications;
• Ability to pass background check, DOT physical and drug testing
• Willing to be on-call 24/7 for emergencies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,298.00 - $42,294.00 per year
