RN

1. Assess physical needs of residents.

2. Institute and revise plan of care for each resident.

3. Supervise and coordinate patient care.

4. Assist in evaluation of patient care and offer appropriate recommendations.

5. Assist each wing as needed, including but not limited to :

a. admission on new residents

b. discharge of residents

c. assisting in any emergency capacity

6. Monitor Medical Record documentation to assure appropriate, complete, and date recording including:

a. Doctor’s orders

b. Nursing notes

c. Follow-up on completion of MDS/MMDS and recommendations

d. Review of resident charts for completion of information

Personnel

1. Effectively supervise performance of charge nurses, geriatric nursing assistants, and medication aides. Evaluate, discuss any discipline issues and provide input for follow through.

2. Assist with staff development to enhance and enlarge their knowledge base, and to assure compliance with existing regulations.

3. Assist with orientation of nursing personnel by familiarizing them with policies and procedures of the home, physical plant and residents as well as to assess and evaluate their positions skills, offering on going guidance where appropriate.

4. Assist in evaluating staff needs and schedule staff to meet the needs required.

5. Participate in Employee Performance Evaluations.

Administrative

1. Assist in the coordination and direction of overall operation of personnel and shift.

2. Make sound decisions based on principles of nursing practices facility policies and regulations.

3. Establish and maintain good rapport with residents, families, and staff.

4. Participate in monitoring nursing operation for control of expenses.

5. Cover absence of charge nurse personnel as needed or directed by Director of Nursing.

6. Participate in nursing Administration on call on a rotation basis.

7. Perform all duties as delegated by the Director of Nursing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $37.00 per hour
