What you'll do
Wieland is hiring a Procurement Intern! As an intern you will gain understanding of strategic & operational procurement processes at a corporate and plant level and get exposure to a variety of different teams including Capex, Indirect Procurement, and Direct Procurement. This role will sit in Wieland's North American headquarters located in Louisville, KY.
The ideal intern will have an interest in Operations, Manufacturing, and/or the Metals Industry.
Schedule: Anywhere from 20-30 hours per week
Pay: $20/hr.
Length: Internship will last from September - the end of 2023 with the
Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Support operational buyers and strategic buyers on key projects and initiatives
- Analyze data and generate reports as requested by the procurement team
- Prepare and present materials and other documentation using MS Office tools and other systems
- Research market, suppliers, etc.
- Additional tasks as needed
What You'll Need
- Perusing a degree in Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, or other business/operations focused discipline
- Problem solving sills
- Experience using MS Office Suite
- Desire to learn & grow in a fast paced environment
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
