Overview

Wieland Metal Services is looking for a 2nd shift SLITTER OPERATOR for their coil, sheet and strip processor service center located in Alliance, Oh.

 

Starting pay rate is $20.74 plus shift diff.

 

Hours: 2ND SHIFT (MONDAY-FRIDAY 2:30PM-11PM)

 

Responsibilities

  • Observe all safety rules to operate efficiently and effectively.
  • Assemble and install proper tooling per order as specified.
  • Advanced set up and calibration of the slitter to meet specs.
  • Inspect materials for quality issues before, during, and after running material through the slitter.
  • Record and report any deficiencies in quality to the supervisor/quality department.
  • Safely and efficiently operate the slitter, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Remove and stack finished materials for shipping.
  • Pack materials to specifications and load trucks.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.

    • 2nd Shift Hours: M-F 2:30pm-11:00pm (Overtime may be required)

    Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and write English. Ability to maintain production records and logs.
  • Employment record reflecting reliability. Above average attendance.
  • Manufacturing or related industrial experience preferred.
  • Ability to perform math, addition, subtraction, decimals and fractions. Familiarity with computers.
  • Experience with tape measure, micrometers and calipers preferred.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to work independently.
