Wieland is hiring a CNC Operator. The CNC Operator will be responsible for machine operation and product quality qhile also assisting with overlal warehouse operations as needed . This role is located in Kilgore, TX and will be fully on-site.
Starting Pay: $22.50
Responsibilities
CNC Operator Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain a safe, organized, and clean working environment
- Responsible for the set-up, process, and maintenance of CNC Lathe
- Machine round bar into finished product at varying tolerances
- Operate machinery in a safe manner to ensure quality product
- Inspect material before and after operation for imperfections
- Load and unload product from the machinery for processing
- Assemble, rebuild, setup, maintain, and operate equipment
- Cranes, forklifts, hand tools, etc.
- Inspect inventory and product orders for accuracy
- Report product discrepancies to management
- Perform all applicable SOP’s, JSA’s, and QAP’s
- Actively communicate with teammates
- Operate forklifts to move material
- Other Operations tasks as assigned
CNC Operator Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 to 4 years of machining experience
- Mechanical/maintenance skills a plus
- Understanding of machining principles
- Understanding of CNC Lathe controls (preferred)
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail (critical skill)
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers, coworkers and management
- Ability to work as part of a team and offer assistance to teammates when necessary
- Ability to work occasional Saturday hours as required by the position
- Ability to work in warehouse environment with varying temperatures
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to read dimensioned engineering drawings
- Ability to read a tape measure and calipers
