Wieland Metals Services* is seeking a highly motivated and result-driven Sales Support for our Waterbury, CT location. The purpose of the Sales Support is to provide general support to the Inside Sales Team by accurately updating and entering data into the computer. The incumbent will be responsible for reviewing and fact-checking all information being entered, including customer orders, customer part numbers, specifications, etc. Under general supervision, this position performs a variety of moderate and functional activities. The Sales Support will be required to work with a team and support others.
Purpose and Scope
This role is responsible for meeting the needs of all customers while obtaining orders from existing or potential sales oulets.
Responsibilities:

Sales Support Essential Responsibilities (but not limited to) the following: *

  • Champion “Safety Excellence” by complying with all safety rules/processes, supporting the Safety Elements, and driving Wieland Marjan to be leaders in compliance and cultural participation.
  • Resonsible for customer interactions to include quoting, pricing, and responding to customer inquries
  • Responsible for invoicing customers and processing payments.
  • Responsible for entering sales orders based on customer purchase orders.
  • Responsible for managing customer accounts and any special requirements.
  • Updates customer on lead time and status of material.
  • Misc. tasks will be assigned by the Operations Manager.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma
  • Understanding of sales and manufacturing industries is a plus

  • Perform duties under the pressure of deadlines.

Qualifications: * Qualifications*

  • Minimum of 3 years of Manufacturing experience, preferably within metal manufacturing industry
  • Ability to multitask and delegate
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Capability to handle and understand complexity
  • Ability to analyze and report manufacturing information
  • Commitment to the established values and culture of WMS.
