What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grave Digger position at Wilbert Funeral Services?
A Gravedigger provides full graveside service setup, setting monuments, or delivering bulk quantities of product for cemetery stock.
Essential Job Functions
- Conduct proper pre and post-trip inspections
- Load, secure, and transport backhoe to the cemetery
- Operate a backhoe to open and or close the grave
- Haul away or move excess dirt from the site as required
- Maintain vehicles and equipment
- Assist CSR when needed with graveside services
Position Requirements
- Class ' A' CDL license required
- Must have a clean driving record and pass a DOT Physical
- Must be able to pass new hire drug test and random drug screens
- Experience operating a backhoe
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs
- Must be able to read maps and understand directions

- Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy while delivering to our customers
- Be able to drive daily routes safely and efficiently while making deliveries promptly.
