General Purpose and Scope of Position
The Process Specialist - Inventory is responsible for inventory control and purchasing support within a region and the implementation of our product supply strategy. The Process Specialist - Inventory represents and acts as the advocate for the needs of their region and, through participation with the Leadership Team and Product Planner, the Process Specialist - Inventory helps craft the overall supply strategy and ensures its successful integration.
Personal Attributes & Experience:
- Working knowledge of inventory management software.
- Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports.
- Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret written procedures and reports.
- The ability to operate and execute strategy within critical deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- 3-5 years of experience in inventory control, distribution, logistics, or supply chain.
- 3-5 years of experience with data analysis and forecasting methods.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Agriculture industry experience is a plus but not required.
Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:
- Own inventory availability in-line with forecasts, ensuring fulfillment success and consistently positive customer experiences.
- Coordinate inventory procurement and inbound transport for all locations within the district.
- Provide proactive communication on errors and inbound inventory ETAs or delays.
- Engage directly with purchasing support teams on district needs and product requests.
- Maintain and continuously improve all current district inventory reports, creating new reports as needed.
- Collaborate with other Process Specialists and districts to balance and transfer inventory within the business.
- Attend virtual forecast and sales planning meetings, monitoring 30/60/90-day forecast accuracy.
- Assist location operations teams to proactively monitor warehouse capacity.
- Assess inbound transport from suppliers to identify opportunities to consolidate and reduce expenses.
- Partner with Sales and Supply teams to maintain supplier relations.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company SOPs and as directed in the employee handbook.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
Compensation and Benefits:
- In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $62,500 - $83,370. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
