Job Description

Work with CDM Smith's Milwaukee team for an amazing career in the municipal water and wastewater industry. Work with our top-notch experts on innovative projects at the local and national level. CDM Smith offers excellent opportunities for career advancement and technical development. Make an impact by:

- Support lead service line rehabilitation initiatives in Milwaukee and surrounding communities.
- Writing technical reports on important issues in the water / wastewater industry.
- Designing treatment facilities for large water and wastewater plants.
- Presenting to municipal clients and stakeholders in the region.
- Grow your technical skills by working with the best experts in the company. Technical development will include opportunities to write technical articles and attend conferences.
- Playing a key role in the mentorship of junior staff through structured mentoring, work assignment and technical review.
- Collaborating with sales staff to create proposals in response to client requests for proposals.

Minimum Qualifications

-Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
-Professional engineering (PE) license.
-7 years of related experience.
-Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
- Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Skills and Abilities

- Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) practices.
- Knowledge of engineering principles of design. Principles of design include preparation of design documents for municipal bidding.
- Knowledge of Microsoft business software (Excel, Word, Etc).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
