JOB SUMMARY:Performs daily activities of operating and maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse. Unload, load, check in, stock, and organize the warehouse.
Reports To: Warehouse Lead
Responsibilities
Load and unload vendor trucks safely and efficiently documenting all discrepancies and damage.
Efficient fulfillment of customer orders.Picking, staging and loading of customer orders.
Maintain accurate inventories in multiple warehouses.
Properly document all materials on the shipping paperwork.
Transport Materials to various locations; loading and unloading of trucks.
Operation of a forklift in cold storage warehouses.
Receive & put away new production in specified warehouse locations.
Maintains housekeeping and cleanliness of the facility to meet established Food Safety expectations ensuring favorable results on all internal and third-party audits.
May perform high stacking of palletized material in congested and busy environments.
Required to cross-train other employees and perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Execute cycle count inventory on a weekly basis.
Follows established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and safety policies while performing job duties.
Ensure strict adherence to the HGO’s Code of Ethics and Core Values while maintaining a positive work environment.
Other duties, responsibilities, and/or tasks as assigned.
Special Skills/Training
Ability to read, write, and understand English. (Without an interpreter)
Ability to work in a team environment in a positive manner of respect, cooperation & flexibility.
Good work ethic and ability to work independently.
Ability to operate a forklift.
Contribute to a team environment leading to productivity improvements.
Processes willingness to learn.
Basic math skills are required.
Basic computer skills.
Experience/Education
Minimum High School Diploma.
Three months of forklift experience
2 years of warehouse experience
Physical Requirements
Able to lift 55 pounds repeatedly.
Ability to climb ladders.
Prolonged standing and repetitive bending.
Must be willing to work overtime as necessary.
Working Conditions
Mostly inside an industrial food-grade facility.
Smocks and hairnets (beard net if necessary) are required within the facility.
Occasional outside work is necessary.
There is a moderate level of noise while the plant is in production.
