Warehouse Associate (HGO)

JOB SUMMARY:  Performs daily activities of operating and maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse. Unload, load, check in, stock, and organize the warehouse.

Reports To:  Warehouse Lead

Responsibilities

• Load and unload vendor trucks safely and efficiently documenting all discrepancies and damage.
• Efficient fulfillment of customer orders. Picking, staging and loading of customer orders.
• Maintain accurate inventories in multiple warehouses.
• Properly document all materials on the shipping paperwork.
• Transport Materials to various locations; loading and unloading of trucks.
• Operation of a forklift in cold storage warehouses.
• Receive & put away new production in specified warehouse locations.
• Maintains housekeeping and cleanliness of the facility to meet established Food Safety expectations ensuring favorable results on all internal and third-party audits.
• May perform high stacking of palletized material in congested and busy environments.
• Required to cross-train other employees and perform other tasks as assigned by management.
• Execute cycle count inventory on a weekly basis.
• Follows established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and safety policies while performing job duties.
• Ensure strict adherence to the HGO’s Code of Ethics and Core Values while maintaining a positive work environment.
• Other duties, responsibilities, and/or tasks as assigned.

Special Skills/Training

• Ability to read, write, and understand English. (Without an interpreter)
• Ability to work in a team environment in a positive manner of respect, cooperation & flexibility.
• Good work ethic and ability to work independently.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Contribute to a team environment leading to productivity improvements.
• Processes willingness to learn.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Basic computer skills.

Experience/Education

• Minimum High School Diploma.
• Three months of forklift experience
• 2 years of warehouse experience

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift 55 pounds repeatedly.
• Ability to climb ladders.
• Prolonged standing and repetitive bending.
• Must be willing to work overtime as necessary.

Working Conditions

• Mostly inside an industrial food-grade facility.
• Smocks and hairnets (beard net if necessary) are required within the facility.
• Occasional outside work is necessary.
• There is a moderate level of noise while the plant is in production.
