Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and administrative support in a medical office setting. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and collect necessary paperwork
- Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records system
- Assist with medical billing and coding tasks as needed
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and schedule follow-up appointments
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including mail and email
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality
Skills:
- Previous experience working at the front desk of a medical or dental office preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in using scheduling software for medical appointments
- Ability to handle high-stress situations, such as emergency room calls or urgent patient needs
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle multiple lines
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.56 - $21.15 per hour
