As part of the College of Business and Engineering, the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering offers a range of undergraduate programs in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Engineering Management, along with M.S. degree programs in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management, and Bioengineering. Our faculty members pursue diverse research areas, including RF and antenna design, applied electromagnetics, bioengineering, embedded systems, biomechatronics, nanomaterials and nanotechnology, combustion, smart materials, and additive manufacturing.

Position Overview:

We are seeking candidates with a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and a focus on microfabrication and semiconductor devices and design. Candidates with industry or research laboratory experience are preferred. Proficiency in English, excellent communication skills, a demonstrated research trajectory, and a commitment to quality teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels are essential. The ideal candidate will have interdisciplinary expertise and a record of collaborative research across engineering and scientific fields.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses related to electrical engineering such as microfabrication laboratory, semiconductor devices as well as basic circuit and electronics courses, and related topics.
  • Engage in cutting-edge research with potential collaborations with industrial partners.
  • Contribute to the department's research agenda and interdisciplinary initiatives.
  • Advice and mentor students in research projects and academic pursuits.
  • Participate in departmental and university service activities.

Qualifications:

  • D. in Electrical Engineering.
  • Expertise in microfabrication processes, semiconductor device design, and relevant simulation tools.
  • Strong publication record and potential for obtaining external research funding.
  • Commitment to excellence in teaching and student mentorship.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
