Position Summary: This is an armed security officer position. Maintains safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel. This is a NIGHT SHIFT position, must be available 6pm-6am.

Key Roles / Responsibilities:
- Protection of company executives, employees, and assets.
- Monitor arrival and departure of all employees and visitors.
- Operate and monitor security surveillance and alarm systems.
- Write reports regarding any security/suspicious activities or incidents.
- Respond to security threats/emergencies, making appropriate contact to 911 for police, fire or EMS emergency response when necessary.
- Periodic checks of premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of controlled access points.
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
- Staff special events at HQ, GSMA (airport), and Myrtle Wilks Community Center.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Able to read, speak and write in English.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with personnel and vendors.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Possess, or be able to obtain a Level II, III or IV Security Commission from TX DPS Private Security Bureau.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
- Friendly disposition, personable and professional.
- Must work independently and as a member of team.
- Recognizes confidential information and maintains it in accordance with standard procedures.
- Ability to use sophisticated computer software programs to achieve job functions.
- Ability to tell when there is a problem or something that could become a problem.
- Strong work ethics of integrity and honesty strives for excellence in all activities employing accompanying communication.
- High School diploma or equivalent
Working Conditions:
- Able to work under stressful conditions at times.
- Bending, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, sitting, walking, kneeling, stooping, squatting, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, seeing, and standing (occasionally) for long periods of time.
- Will involve some shift work and overtime.
- Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships and maintain them over time.
