WILL Technology, Inc. (WTI) has an immediate need for a skilled, full-time DNA Database Sample Training Specialist to join our growing team in Huntsville, AL.  Candidates in the Birmingham, AL, Nashville, TN and Atlanta, GA areas are strongly encouraged to apply. Relocation may be available.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role, the DNA Database Sample Training Specialist is responsible for performing tasks that assists the government program manager in developing an analysis of laboratory activities. Some of the responsibilities for this position include:

  • Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques.
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.S. degree in physical or life science disciplines, Business, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or other related field with demonstrable coursework in these areas.
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent laboratory experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of databases (e.g. SQL), programming (e.g. XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks), and statistics. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience using statistical and reporting packages (e.g. Business Objects, SQL).
