Job Description
Willdan (WLDN - NASDAQ) is one of the nation's preeminent providers of energy management services to utilities, local governments, and private enterprises. We are seeking a qualified Project Manager to support a Clean Heating & Cooling Program. The Project Manager will support thermal energy network market development for existing and future contracts in NY. The position is remote with around 10% expected travel to the Albany office as well as site visits in the New York Metropolitan area.
Responsibilities
- Project planning, including schedules and budgets, as needed from early-stage design through project closeout.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on project development, sharing best practices and project iterations.
- Support technical, financial, and regulatory studies to expedite trouble shooting and solution planning.
- Support project management tasks, including re-design of existing programs.
- Design coordination including organizing project coordination meetings, developing scopes of services and agreements for hiring, review of drawings and specifications, obtaining regulatory approvals, and preparing payment recommendations for invoices.
- Advising on the delivery method and contract terms being proposed.
- Support thermal energy network market development tasks such as outreach, creating marketing materials, and hosting presentations.
- Support coordination with intra-agency and inter-agency teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the key functions of the Clean Heating & Cooling team.
Key Qualifications
- Ability to proficiently use PC/Office software: Word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
- Basic knowledge of Salesforce and Lytho software is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Previous relevant experience in thermal energy required.
- Previous experience interpreting and analyzing technical and economic information a plus.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of all laws, rules, codes, and regulations applicable to the work to be performed.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license applicable to state laws.
