William A. Hazel, Inc., a total site development contractor for over 50 years, is looking for a Virginia Certified Mine Foreman. The individual in this position will prepare, supervise, inspect, and work in mining projects for reclamation and surface mining.

Essential Functions

  • Focus on safety and keeping the mine crew engaged in safety awareness. Ensuring that mine crews adhere to all safety, environmental and mining regulations.
  • Assign jobs and monitor work in progress to achieve mine production.
  • Mark headings for drilling to maintain alignment and heading dimension.
  • Record accuracy of mining activities.
  • Provide training to new hires.
  • Interface with client and agency personnel.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills.

Education and Experience

  • 5 years of experience in the mining industry.
  • Virginia Energy Surface Foreman Certification required
  • MSHA Certification preferred.

Pay: $62,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
