Summary:
The Business Manager serves as a primary source of administrative support for central office support services and business office functions. This position serves as the coordinating liaison for district office functions, while maintaining district compliance records and reporting requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as the district liaison between staff, community partners, vendors and various stakeholders, providing coordination and communication support for district responsibilities, such as audits, on-site reviews, RFPs
Maintain compliance and reporting records, including administering Epicenter
Coordinate and Attend Board of Education functions and responsibilities – IE: board meeting agendas, minutes, packets, materials, room setup/take down, as well as ensuring meetings are posted in compliance with the Open Meetings Act
Maintains time and effort reporting requirements
Provide administrative support for Executive Director or equivalent
Maintain accounts payable records, process purchase orders
Review invoices and statements
Reconcile receiving tickets with invoices for proper payment
Research discrepancies in billing and take action to ensure correction
Assist in preparation of weekly bill warrants
Code transactions and process materials in preparation of data processing
Coordinate telephone inquiries between vendors and appropriate school department personnel
Codification of daily deposit sheets and invoices/vouchers for payment.
Input purchase orders and requisitions for business office
Prepare financial reports for grants and process claims for reimbursement.
Prepare journal entries as required.
Assist auditors with preparation of audit work papers
Prepare monthly financial statements for BOE
Maintain grant reporting requirements – IE: PARS, sign-in sheets, agendas, property inventory and written processes
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in communications, accounting or related field
5 years of experience in office management, school business, accounting and administrative work in an office setting
Salary starting at $50,000 salary will be commensurate with experience including time within education institutions
