What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tasting Room Manager position at William Chris Wine Co.?
Summary
The Tasting Room Manager at Uplift Vineyards will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and financial success of a small, exclusive tasting room and vineyard experience at our Uplift Vineyard, near Kingsland, Texas. Experiences will usually be for 6-18 people at a time by appointment Thursday – Sunday (workweeks will typically be 5 days with additional days as needed). This position is responsible for ensuring that every guest has a memorable, world class experience, and that the tasting room meets or exceeds its financial goals. This will be accomplished with direct interaction with members and guests in tastings, vineyard/winery experiences, special dinners and events, and personal follow up. While much of the interaction will be direct, the Tasting Room Manager will also supervise one or more Tasting Room Ambassadors depending on the size of the event, and other scheduling concerns.

As we develop the property and label, it should be expected that changes to this role will become needed, including scope of responsibilities, staff size, specific duties, etc. It is imperative that the Tasting Room Manager be able to remain flexible and engaged, as we build and grow this exciting new opportunity.
